LA HERMENÉUTICA DE GADAMER Y EL CONCEPTO ARISTOTÉLICO DE RAZÓN PRÁCTICA (Segunda Parte)

Resumen

In severa! places of his work, Hans-Georg Gadamer points out that Aristotle's Ethics constitutes the philosophical hermeneutics' model. He sometimes even states that <<phrónesis» is the «fundamental hermeneutics virtue» and, therefore, the unique model for hermeneutics as it is conceived by him. Having stated that, this paper will try to explain this subject matter. In other words, the question that guides this research paper is as follows: what are the philosophical reasons that have encouraged Gadamer to consider Aristotle's practica! reason as a paradigm for philosophical hermeneutics? Throughout a so lid theoretical and historical background Gadamer will provide us with two main categories -which are tradition and application- that will help him establish Aristotle's «phrónesis» as the unique and only model for his philosophical hermeneutics.
