CONSIDERACIONES SOBRE LA ONTOLOGÍA OCCIDENTAL DESDE LA PERSPECTIVA FILOSÓFICA DE EMMANUEL LÉVINAS

Resumen

The thought of Emmanuel Lévinas regarding the question of alterity (otherness), considered and classified as a philosophy of the differences, emerges as a radical critic to the way the west had develop and presented the metaphysical questions. For Lévinas a metaphysics that departs from classical greek concepts, is not more than a reduction of the other and the otherness, to the one and itself. In this theoretical context this essay will approach the concept of metaphysics used and proposed by Lévinas. In other words, we will try to explain the rational process by means of which ethics becomes the first philosophy.
