50 años de estudio de las culturas residenciales populares en la UCV (1948-1998)

The purpose of this article is to place highlighted the need far universities to take into account the popular residential cultures (cultures that perform the popular sectors in the places where they live and in turn, it neglected to note that this relationship is Central University of Venezuela (UCV). We are interested in addressing the ref lection on the relation-Campo Campo Academic Cultural Popular Residential concretions and sorne of its teaching and research in the UCV, from theforties and even the nineties, more precisely between 1948 -1998. We think that the presence ar absence of such a relationship in the academic structure of the UCV, could serve as an indication of the overall relationship between the university and the country. The origin of the university in our nation is marked by an attempt to translate and make accessible the scope of humanist thought (and then scientist), got on the other side of the ocean. But the problem does not end there starts only because the EU recognize the original imprint, easily concluded that this was the only possible source of guidance. Paradigms, methodologies and even the content should comefrom Europe. Perhaps this is one of the root causes of that feature of the educational process, to march back to the country. The recognition of the importance of the institution and the same, by the official knowledge has been slow, zigzag and countless setbacks. lt was difficult to recognize the relevance of systematic ref lections, scientific, artistic and philosophical about our specific reality and still almost impossible to accept and promote the importance of our knowledge no formalized, produced directly by the majority sectors of society, the wisdom contained in our cultures popular residential.
