POBRES Y EXCLUIDOS AÚN ..... Y POR MUCHO TIEMPO

Resumen

This paper is the result of a comparative analysis between three investigations carried out in Latín America, the United States and Venezuela. We approach an investigation of poverty made by the Pontifical University of Chile and the Catholic University of Uruguay, an investigation of the black people s poverty in the city of Chicago, and an investigation made in Venezuela. These investigations were selected because they focus on rejlecting over the social and cultural capital. We are interested to analyze poverty from different perspectives, such as cultural, economic, political and environmental ones, seeking how the social subjects acquire and administer the different types of capitals, in order to cause or prevent the overcoming of the poverty. It is the intention of this essay to approach the subject of poverty and the exclusion factor from the perspective of the social reproduction theories (Bourdieu) and reflective sociology, in order to establish the relation that exists between the social structures and the everyday life of the social subject.
