Resumen

Several considerations are done on the usage of the Spanish article, and especial/y on its importance in order to ascertain the exact meaning of severa! words and linguistic expressions. A special emphasis is put on the detail that, in spite of the fact that the article, in order to be such, cannot bear a semantic charge, in severa! linguistic constructions it may work as a name, or even, with its presence or absence, or according to the way it is employed, it may decisively ajfect the meaning of a full sentence.
