Una crítica Zubiriana a la filosofía de la historia de Ignacio Ellacuría

Resumen

This paper critically examines philosopher theologian Ignacio Ellacuría's philosophy of history showing itas a clear example of a certain current historicism in Latín American philosophical and theological deliberations of latter decades. This critical study has been done in contrast with Xavier Zubiri 's philosophy of history -who happens to be Ellacuría's master and most important philosophical influence- by showing offhow Ellacuría takes distance from his mentor and chooses a view of History that leads him to bring into his thought, probably on account of to his own political theological choices, philosophical statements that overshadow something that it is just one of the most important elements of Modern Western World Christian faith as it is the person's dignity idea and its absolute value. History's relativity inface ofindividual stated by Zubiri clearly ranks above that of his pupil and it offers an important intellectual contribution to review "metaphysical-political mythology" that underlies ali Latín American political Utopias, struggling to sacrifice human person in the "History" altar.
