LA FILOSOFÍA Y SU HISTORIA

Resumen

Assuming the methodological propasal of J. J. E. Gracia one can find the positive value that history of philosophy implies for philosophical studies. This essay presents the extreme bounderies of the problem -in its bipolar form-, the operational scope of the relation between philosophy and its history, in arder to conclude that the central question is based on a frank confusion between the objective and the methodological necessities, which usual/y tends to approach the question whether philosophy has to consider or not its own history.
