EL LAICO COMO SIGNO DEL MISTERIO EN EL CORAZÓN DEL MUNDO Y DE LA IGLESIA

Resumen

-- In this essay we want to circumscribe our rejlection around the notion of lay people in the Church, especially assuming the contribution of the Second Vatican Council. We believe that it has contributed to open new perspectives in the way how the Church has understood itself and the notion of laity in our contemporary history. There is no doubt that behind a notion of laity there is a notion of the Church. Every lay is an icon of the Church in the world, because every baptized, is an icon of the Mystery. In this sense, a lay is a real presence and ferment of God's Kingdom in this world, by means of an authentic practice of political charity as a sign of the brotherhood of the children and daughters of God.
