Resumen

-- The Message to the peoples of Latín America and the Caribbean of the V General Conference of the Bishops in Aparecida, of the 29.5.2007 affirm: We reaffirmed our preferential and evangelical option by the poor men. We want to contribute to guarantee conditions of worthy life, health, feeding, education, house and work far all. Which are the Bíblical roots of this option? In this paper is reflected on the Bíblical passages that see the poverty like badly; first like effect of not working, and soon as a result of the bad distribution ofthe wealth. Later the social laws of the Pentateuco and the reflections on the Poor men of God. And one concludes with the reflection on the poverty in the New Testament.
