UNA RELIGIOSA DE LA ÚNICA CONGREGACIÓN VENEZOLANA DEDICADA EXCLUSIVAMENTE A LA CATEQUESIS: LA HERMANA SOCORRO DE LOURDES

Resumen

-- The religious congregation founded in Villa de Cura Aragua state, by the priest Jose Manuel Jiménez Gómez and Mother Enriqueta de Lourdes, a Zulian nun who served for conduct a magnificent work of catechetical and charitable nature, in the twentieth century. Josefa Maria del Carmen Sánchez Suárez (1903-1997) joined the congregation of the Sisters Catechists of Lourdes in 1934. After staff in the homes of Acarigua and Maracaibo, was sent to Villa de Cura in 1946, to participate as a missionary for the pilgrimage to the Grotto of Our Lady of Lourdes, located in the San Luis Rey Parish. From then until his death, the nun remained in the doors of Central Plains.
