-- The priest is the man of the word. By the imposition of hands of the Bishop is constituted the man who distributed to the faithful the bread of lije on the table of the word and the body of Christ. 50 Years ago the Vatican Council II (11.10.1962 - 08.12.1965) presents us this problem in sorne of their documents: Sacrosanctum Concilium (04.12.1963); Dei Verbum (18.11.1965) and Presbyterorum Ordinis (28.10.1965). In the last 40 years the Apostolic exhortations promulgated by Popes as a issues of the synods of bishops attest that the priest is a man of the word: Paulo VI Evangelii nuntiandi (08.12.1975), Pope John Paul II Pastores Dabo Vobis (25.03.1992) and Benedict XVI Verbum Domini (30.09.2010). This topic has been treated in two documents of the plenary Council of Venezuela: the prophetic proclamation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ in Venezuela and bishops, priests and deacons are at the service of a communion church.
