LOS ORÍGENES DEL LIBERALISMO CONTEMPORÁNEO

Resumen

-- Here we present a group of considerations about the origins of contemporary liberalism. To do so, we have used three theoretical and historical areas through which it is shown the link existing among sorne modern philosophers and severa! thinkers who have theorized contemporary politics. In the first place, we expose sorne thoughts referred to the anthropological and econorrrical moment which essential expression is individualism and property. In the second place, we emphasize the political moment examined through the stress presented by the state configuration and the democracy establishment. In the third place, we consider the moral moment, analyzed from antagonistic positions represented by universalism and relativism. Finally, we conclude the usefulness of thinking over the link and continuity, man y times disregarded, existing among severa! modem and contemporary thinkers.
