DIÁLOGO RELIGIÓN INDÍGENA - FE CRISTIANA Y PROPUESTAS PARA UNA TEOLOGIA INDÍGENA CRISTIANA

Resumen

-- Deepening the Indian religion and the thought of it (theology) is the first purpose of this paper, as to start a dialogue and encounter between indigenous religion and Christianjait; in arder to trace a path to a particular church with an indigenous shape and Christian indigenous consideration.
Religion is the key element that permeates ali, linked through myth and ritual. From cultural anthropology we can state that the Pemón religion is more animated than animist, as it acknowledges the presence of powers in the various realities. Likewise within it there is predominantly shamanistic cults or religious practitioners, such as Piasán.

The Catholic Church in recent decades has suffered a substantial change of perspective on their relationship to other religions,jaiths and cultures. This shift is synthesized in three theological and attitudinal changes which are: l)jrom monoculturalism to inculturation and inter-religionation; 2) from contemptuous of other religions and Christian faiths to the recognition of truth and interjaith dialogue; 3)jrom soteriological exclusivity to universal inclusivism.

As though what it is given is the "multiplicity of religions and indigenous theologies" shouldw~ speakofan "indigenous Christian theology", which is the common denominator of them ali. We point out challenges to the "Indian-Christian theology" based on questionsfrom a particular indigenous Pemón, in arder to break up new ways to other religious traditions  in this articulation of the Christian faith and reflection indigenous. Here are sorne of these questions: How to articulate the history of salvation including linear and cyclic worldview of indigenous? How to articulate the biblical revelation and the revelation on indigenous peoples?
