Resumen

-- This essay has three parts. One referred to Paul, previous to his encounter with Jesus. Then, the decisive encounter with the Lord. Finally, the legacy of his understanding of Christ. We will try to approach the Jewish figure of Paul, who changed radically his lije as he encountered himself with Jesus. In order to understand the depth of the change or the "conversion" it is important to know from what one separates and what becomes.
In the first part we will expose an image of Judaism and Phariseism in the times of Paul, very different from the presented and displayed by many scholars and historians; and the image of Paul like a Hellenist of the Diaspora, that simultaneously was a Jew jealous of its identity and until pursuer of the Church. In second part we will explore his encounter with the Lord. I believe that this is the key to understand all later experience and, partly, his theology and his anthropology. Finally, we will study sorne limits of his Christian perspective; and mainly, certain prospects opened by'him, or by the primitive Church, which remain to be updated.
