Resumen

-- In today's world, it is difficult to use the word "priest" because the priesthood is the People of God's identity, for through the baptism everybody is incorporated into Christ and becomes part of the holy body of the Church where each one of us is an ecclesial subject. This reflexion looks forward to make a contribution to the pastoral of the ordained ministry emphasizing the present
moment and its circumstances. In a Christian community where everybody is an ecclesial subject, the priest has a very clear place andfunction. lnfact, the Ecclesia in America # 39 exhorts the priests to be a sign anda channel of unity in the community through the
collaboration to the bishop and to the other priests which should be a communion testimony. They should seek their sanctity and strengthen their spirituality encouraging the community to do the same. The priests must be examples of solidarity especially towards the poor. Also, they must discern the charismas and talents of the faithful encouraging their participation and co-responsibility in the Miss ion of the Church.
