Resumen

-- Among severa[ frequent meanings that the notion of reconciliation has been recently given throughout different contexts of our Venezuelan society, this paper will assume the implications given in recent contemporary documents of our local church, when using the meaning intended by Paul in 2 Cor 5,17-20. A synthetic philological analysis of the term used by Paul, will lead us to sorne guidelines and criteria in order to develop an authentic meaning and praxis of this important notion of reconciliation, useful in our own social and political reality today.
