OPCIÓN POR LOS POBRES: PROPUESTA PARA UN TRATAMIENTO SISTEMÁTICO Y SITUADO·

Resumen

-- The option for the poor is a primary expression of being a Christian, and therefore, a cross-cuttingfactor in the whole Christian lije and in the reflections on the same. In that regard, it was of the greatest importance to thejounders of the Latín American church and was reintroduced by Medellin and Puebla as a creative acceptance of Vatican JI, and prior to it, as an expression of the most authentic andfaithful Christianity lived in those years in Latín America. Starting from that premise, taken as a theme in a schematic way, we propase to examine the terms and current state of this question, in arder to focus on the specijic matters in which this option is manijested at present, determining the quality of our Christian faith, as well as the qualitatively human possibilities of lije in our region.
