-- This article discusses the commitment of the Church, particularly of the Latin American Church, with the world and with the kind of praxis that entails the claim of the intrahistorical circumstance, and examines likewise the characteristics of the dialogue that religion should hold with their secular interlocutors. For this, will be used sorne thoughts of Karl Rahner and Ignacio Ellacuría that are inserted within the spirit inaugurated by the Second Vatican Council
