Resumen

-- After an introduction where we explain the terms and the methodology, we undertake a genetic and structural analysis of Jesus' power. The starting point is his life in Nazaret as one among many others. Next we present the different forms of exposing his power as it is presented in the Gospels. Then we gather the reactions of the disciples, the people and the authorities towards a power that shows itself as excessive, unsettling and amazing due to his charismatic and emphatic character, in the same way that it shows the lack of convencional attributes of power. We consider the power and impotence of J esus as it is demonstrated during the Passover week that begins with the triumphal entrance, it develops through the disputes with the authorities and it reaches its clímax with the episode of the temple, which causes the decision of killing him. Next we study what occurs in Gethsemane and in the Calvary, which ends in the Resurrection. The analysis concludes with the relationship between Jesus Risen and us. The paper finalizes by
asking if the power that is revealed in Jesus' life is a paradigm of human power or only a regulatory idea.
