Resumen

-- This paper has two parts. The first one intends to focus the difference between the wcry to follow Jesus when he lived in this world
and the after he left it. The advantage to clearly determine the difference stands on nowadcrys' temptation of pietism: the illusion of a relationship with him as if he was still here, which replaces the discipleship in his mission to proclaim the Kingdom. The second part tries to clear out the peculiarity of following Jesus in Latin America today, which faces the fact that Latin American Christians are religious people, more than Jesus' followers, but the Gospel has not been turned into its environmental conditions. Christendom seems to have no importance because we are among the world, the region with biggest inequalities. Furthermore, environmental transmission has been interrupted A personalized Gospel transmission is needed in arder to overcome globalization's emphasis on individualism.
