-- The theologian has the commitment to speak about God. This task is possible only in the context of the same word pronounced by God, that means, to pronounce a word about God is only possible from the word of God Himself. Hence theology is a rejlection of what God himself, out of his bounty and wisdom, decided to revea! about Himself
(1). In case the theologian is a Christian must speak about the Christian God, that means of that God whose Word became jlesh
(2), who even befare his manifestation in history, shows himself as journeying with his people with their difficulties, sufferings, and pains in the mixt of their history. A God outside the time is not the Christian God. The time is carrying the traces, signs and sacraments of his presence. This article likes to stress the importance of time in the theological rejlection. The axis of this rejlection is the Document Gaudium et Spes. This document tells us that we cannot make a theological rejlection if we do not consider the time in which we are living. Revelation is not a past event, is a present event, is like God today, and this is not a theory but an Event
(3). Hence the theologian isinvited to interpret God in the signs of his time, signs which are indicating a presence even in the apparent absence and silence. We want in this article to demonstrate in a very simple way what a sign is, then we will try to summarize the history of the document GS, and what the document says about the signs of the times, in arder to end speaking of those signs of the present time that speak of the presence of God in the urgent problems of human kind, envisaged already by the Council 'F athers.
