--The Gospels narrate Jesus' procedure to instruct his disciples. First, his initiative in calling thern in, then his patience and pedagogy in teaching thern, further his trust in sending thern as apostles to spread the corning of the Kingdorn. An unknown passes by the side of rnen deep-rooted in labour which give thern the daily sustain and he calls thern personally. Jesus' strong language and the disciples' steadfast response bring forth the beginning of the discipleship. After a detailed analysis in the first two chapters of sorne Gospels' texts that state the discipleship frorn different points of view, we shall restrict to present sorne thoughts that reach far the rneaning and purpose of discipleship, its conditions, the lije 's cornrnunion of Jesus' disciples, their participation in h,is destiny, Jesus as rnodel to his disciples and the discipleship 's stretching to ali believers.
