-- The Facts rightly emphasize the absolute novelty which began in Antioch: a Christianity outside the Jewish religion. Jesus had been a Jewish matter, even if it claimed a universal validity. When it was proclaimed to pagans, it had to startfrom scratch: itwas necessary to invent "Christianity" with faithful creativity. Since it had to be understood as good news by pagans, it had to be converted into an affordable and acceptable religious grammar. This grammar couldn't be the Olympic religion but the mysteries. But, how do you make sure that this creativity had been faithful? This is what this essay tries to clarify.
